My hope (Jennifer)

This week was a tough one with the little one being sick.  And I was sick too.  There were some undereating days (believe it or not the stress does get the best of me in that way) and some overeating days.  So...my hope was that maybe it would all even out and the scale wouldnt be mean.  Wrong.  Today, 164.2.  Thats up 2 lbs in one week.  But, I am working at getting it back down there.  I am not sure I deserved 2 whole pounds but whatever.  There has been a lack of exercising and so many things have been out of the norm.

I am feeling better although I think this cold is going to hang on a while.  But I need to pick the exercise back up.  And I need to come up with a plan.  We get together with the inlaws all the time.  And it is a great time. I love to have company.   But something comes over me and I lose control of my eating.  They bring so many treats that are extremely hard for me to pass up.  And the treats arent going to stop.  I accept that.  But I need to get a better handle on my self conrol not to eat them!  Any ideas?  I even ate before they got here so I could eat *my food*.  Yeah...and then I ate theirs too... What the heck?

Today's reason for losing weight:
*I have used this reason before but it is weighing on my mind a lot lately so I will say it again.  I want to see the 150's!!!!

Today I am thankful for:
*reading other blogs where people set goals for themselves.  They have inspired me.  I havent really set any specific short term goals to challenge myself  to make progress.  So, I think it is time.  I think I will write about it in my post tomorrow after I pick the winner for the giveaway(deadline is tomorrow at noon EST)!

Happy Halloween.

Jennifer

Yeah I agree, we work our butts off in a week and don't get to see a 2 lb loss but we have a couple of off days and we see the gain! Yuck!!!

Could it be just water retention though!

Glad you are back at getting it off!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm so glad that you enjoy reading and I'm happy that you're thinking of starting goals for yourself. I'm hoping that the weekly goals will keep me even more focused. Good luck with your journey! :-)

Aw sweetie, I know how hard it is to work off 2 pounds. It's so annoying that we have to work so hard to get rid of them, but they come on so quickly. I'm telling ya, I am really interested about the role hormones plays in all of this metabolism stuff. Wednesday...

I think goals are so important too - it's doing what you have to in order to meet those goals that's so dang hard, isn't it? You'll get those 2 lbs. off in no time.

Jennifer - I use a Polar F6 Heart Rate Monitor and it tells me how many calories I burn during a given workout. I count WW points, not calories.

Jennifer - I love my Heart Rate Monitor! I only use it when I work out, and I don't know what I would do without it now. You can find it anywhere - on overstock, amazon, or in any sporting goods store. Let me know if you get one.

I am sure you will get to the 150's soon! Sometimes we just need to keep chugging along even though it can be an up and down rollercoaster at times.

Oh no...I hope you're feeling better soon, Jennifer. It's always hard to stay on plan when you're under the weather.

I completely understand where you're coming from in regards to the in-laws. Check out my post from May25th if you'd like a good laugh. I got some great advice on dealing with these situations in response to that post, too. ;)

I am definitely a goal-oriented person. I can't wait to read about your goals this week!

Hope you are feeling better Jennifer! I am sure you will have those two pounds off by the end of the week. You had written on my blog that you wanted to set a milage goal. Let me know what it is and I will definitely be your cheerleader :)
